I hope you’ve had the chance to do some world-traveling, to indulge your curiosity about other lands and cultures and people.

But even if you’re still an aspiring world-traveler, our world has become so accessible, even from home.

Two of my favorite ways to explore without leaving my recliner:

Google Earth – With this program, you can zoom to almost anywhere on the planet, see satellite images of aerial view to get your bearings, then dive down to ground level to look around. It’s amazing. (Not to be confused with Google Maps—this is way better!)

VirtualTrips.io – check out this website to join actual tour guide in real time and follow along with him/her. There are tons of locations. Joining a tour is free, but you should leave a tip for your guide!
