The stunning island of Santorini is the setting for much of my novel Awakening. I spent one glorious day on the island of Santorini, during a Mediterranean cruise that sailed into the caldera (the sea-water-filled crater left after the center of the volcanic island blew up).

My husband I rented an ATV and zipped up and down the length of the island for the day. We toured from the scenic overlooks in Oia at the northern tip of the island, to the archaeological digsite at the southern tip, where remnants of the Minoan civilization have been unearthed.

Enjoy the beauty of this island. I am determined to go back and spend more time there, someday!
